Uganda Property Holdings Ltd. (UPHL) is a limited liability Company owned and supervised by the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development. It was incorporated in November 1998. The Company was established to take over the ownership of all domestic and foreign located real estate properties that belonged to the Government. The company is guided by a Board that provides oversight on strategy, performance, and accountability, while management executes day-to-day operations in line with approved policies and priorities.
Uganda Property Holdings Ltd (UPHL) is mandated to own, invest in, and manage the real estate properties of the Government of Uganda. We protect and enhance asset value through professional property management, rehabilitation, redevelopment, and strategic acquisitions.
UPHL manages a diversified portfolio including residential, commercial, and warehousing assets within Uganda and selected regional and international locations. Working with the Board, the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, and other stakeholders, we continue to improve service delivery, strengthen governance, and implement investments that support sustainable returns and long-term growth.

Uganda Property Holdings Ltd’s principal activity is to own, invest in, and manage the real estate properties of the Government of Uganda. To date, we manage a portfolio that includes warehouses, residential properties, and commercial properties in Uganda, Kenya, and the United Kingdom.
Many of these properties were initially inherited from the former Coffee Marketing Board, Lint Marketing Board, and Trans Ocean. A number of them were taken over in a dilapidated and, in some cases, unusable condition. Over time, UPHL has worked steadily to restore and improve them to their current level through rehabilitation, redevelopment, and better asset management.
Over the years, we have also added value by redeveloping and constructing facilities, and by acquiring parcels of land intended for future expansion and development. This direction remains important as we implement our Strategic Plan 2025/26–2029/30, with a strong focus on developing warehousing infrastructure to support private sector growth and competitiveness.
With the support of our Board of Directors, the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, and our wider stakeholder community, UPHL has registered several achievements. Highlights of these achievements, as well as our ongoing priorities, are shared across this website.
